Halloween 2008
This year we went to a Festival at the kids school called Boo Bash along with trick or treating. They had so much fun! Alyssa was a Pink Princess, Isabel a Chinese Princess and Luke Jack Sparrow. I made their costumes and had a blast making them. We had a lot of fun this Halloween.

10 Years!
Can you believe Reid and I have been married for 10 years?! It is amazing how much time has past. So much has happened to us and our family in those 10 years!
Our first child, Karina, was born (May 16, 1999) and joined the Lord in heaven (May 24, 1999) within our first year of marriage. One would have thought this would break up a marriage, but it made us stronger and love each other more.
We were then blessed with Luke on Christmas 2000! What a great Christmas surprise he was! He was even 3 weeks early, thanks to Grandma Patty! Grandma Patty told Luke she would see him on Christmas and he said "Ok" and arrived by 8pm Christmas night!
Again we were blessed with our beautiful daughter, Isabel Jolene, on April 2nd, 2003. She has been a great blessing. She has a great personality and brings joy to our family daily.
Our last blessing came on February 28th, 2005, Alyssa Karin. Alyssa is a mix of both Luke and Isabel. She has no fear and will be a great gymnist one day, as Grandpa & Grandma Bixler say.
We have moved about 11 times in our 10 years of marriage. So many places we have been... We lived in Carmel Mtn, Rancho Bernardo, Mira Mesa, Tierrasanta, Escondido to finally where we are now, Indio, CA. What a change from all the other places we have lived. :) We miss San Diego, but know God has taken us to Indio for His purpose.
We are happy to be celebrating our 10 year anniversary and know there will be many more challenges in life to come and we will have each other to help us through it. Being married is the greatest blessing we could have received from God. How great is it to have a forever friend to talk to, cry with and share great moments in life with? We are looking forward to the next 10 years of marriage!

Mini Vacation - Oct. 3rd-6th
Thanks to our family friend, Ron & Sim Reese, Grandpa & Grandma Bixler were blessed with the opportunity to stay at the Worldmark by Wyndom in Indio Ca. They invited us, Lois, Aunt Rachel, Emily & Taylor. We were so excited to have a mini vacation where we could relax and enjoy the beauties of the desert.
The kids, all 5 of them, had a great time. It was a lot of fun watching the cousins play and share in some great memories. The highlight of the trip was the "Lazy River"! We all loved coasting along in the river talking and enjoying our mini vacation.

The school year has started! Yeah!
Luke and Isabel started school on September 2nd at Ronald Reagan Elementary in Palm Desert.
Luke is now in 2nd grade and getting to know all his classmates. He is doing very well in reading, writing and is ahead in math. He loves to go to school and learn new things.
Isabel started Kindergarten this year! She loves her new teacher, Mr. Hayes. She attends the afternoon Kindergarten class, which makes it a little hard scheduling getting her to school, but she loves it! She is learning all the letters and numbers and how to write them all. She is also starting to read a few words to us.
As for Alyssa, she is staying home with Dad. She really wants to go to school too, but she is a little too young. Only two more years Alyssa!
